temporary end of hiatus

Hi family of mine! I know, I know, not a very reassuring post title.  But I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up.  Blog updating is just not a priority for me right now.  But I figured I'd slap some pictures on everyone, since we can never have too many pictures of our family.

This post will suck.  You have been warned.  :)

So if I recall correctly, the last post I did was on Tyler's 6th birthday, which was in June!!!!  I can't remember what went on for the last several months.  So this is all I can really do…….

Chris and I waiting for the 4th of July parade to start.

Chris just being adorable.

Tyler practicing his wall scaling technique.

This is the cake I made for Roberts 40th birthday party.  It was a hit. :)

Robert doing what he does best.

Anthony taking after dad.

Tyler wanted to be a 'skull warrior' for Halloween, our friend Kayden is Iron Man, and Chris wanted to be a black RPM power ranger.  There was more to his costume,….but who knows where it went.

Turkey cookies I made for our Mended Little Hearts group to take to families in the hospital over Thanksgiving.

I also made these swirly Doctor Seuss cookies and wrapped these suckers in burlap to make turkeys. I hope they made someone smile.

Robert preparing for Reserve Officer Libke's memorial procession.

Just snuggling.

We had several snowstorms this winter, and had some decent snowfall.  Too powdery for snowmen, but perfect for angels.

Realizing our tree might be too big.

playing in the snow, trying to keep Chris warm.

neon window clings made with fabric paint

Ty making some faces on the window….also setting up our window cling village, along with our neon snowflakes.

Tree decorating.  Boys both being hams.

Baby Jesus swaddled and in His manger….He goes under our tree every year, a tradition that began at my mom's house.

New Year's pizza and fun with the cousins.

Chris being a ham.  We decided you can never have enough cake, so he got a cake on his actual calendar birthday as well as a birthday party cake.

The boys pretending it's summer and their blue blankets are water.  :]  We were inside a lot during the cold spell. Chris just couldn't stay warm.

Chris's transformers cake.  I let him pic color/flavor/ and theme, but tried to steer away from a super elaborate cake.  It was a four layer chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing and cream cheesing frosting for the outside layer.  I think he really liked it.

Radom batch of cinnamon rolls.  they were delicious.

Chris has a hard time with mohawks.  He has a pretty decent cowlick on his hairline.

random cuteness

Tonight in the bath.

And a random wedding photo for your viewing pleasure.

So I feel like a total bum.  I have no photos of what we did on Anthony's birthday.  And I can't remember if we did anything big for him.  He turned 16 in September. His grandmother was being shuffled around to hospitals and he went with her a lot during that month.  Both Anthony and I lost our Gramma's this year.  Not something I really want to share with someone, but at least we both knew how the other might be feeling.

Robert is loving working for the Police Department, and I am loving homeschooling Tyler and Chris.  We have a very close bond, and that's something I only see growing over time.   Love you all.  God Bless
